SLATINE is located at the northeast part of  Ciovo looking to Kastela Bey and Split  to which it administratively belongs. It is 8 km far from Trogir  It has about 1000 inhabitants who live in their own family  or weekend houses and  they are mainly occupied by tourism, seamanship, fishery and agriculture. Village Slatine is known after its  kilometers and kilometers beautiful pebble and rocky beaches and hot crystal clear blue sea. At the other south side of the island panorama is completely different : untouched  and wild nature with attractive high rocks falling down in the deep sea and unpopulated. Climate and vegetation…

There are some towns and places recommended to see in the village or in the surrounding:

OUR LADY OF PRIZIDNICE SANCTUARY (2 km far from our house) – the old church  built 450 years ago  as patroness of seamen . It is located in vertical wild cliffs and rocks. It is very popular pilgrimage and a peaceful place where people can meditate, pray, swim and dive, walk through  the aromatic paths of rarely and medical herbs, pines and agaves. Even stones and rock-crystals are  of special structure full of brightness. The nature is unspoiled and views of Adriatic Sea and islands are unforgettable.  More and more the wedding ceremonies are occured there.



PORAT (harbour) with  old fishboats,,caffes, pizzerias, restaurants with fresh fish and domestic specialities. There you can buy fresh fish, domestic olive oil, vine, rakija  and vegetables from the garden. Here you can let  equipment for sea sports and  recreation., trip boats  and fishing boats. There is a sport area and children’s playground.   You can see two old rainwater storage tanks from the past.
